    Van Halen's Influence in Metal

    Although I don't see Van Halen as a metal band, I can't deny the simple fact that Eddie Van Halen's playing style revolutionized rock guitar history. Talented guitarists George Lynch and Akira Takasaki wouldn't have made a career for themselves, if not for the heavy influence that they took. That's not to say that they don't have their own style, but there are some very obvious similarities at hand.

    What do you think? Also, I'll post a song off their first album that could definitely pass for metal:
